In 2014 Colin was appointed to his current role as Head of Human Resources Ericsson Australia and NZ, responsible for the end to end HR function and delivery of the Ericsson People Strategy.
Colin has a particular passion to develop leadership that embraces diversity and a learning culture which supports innovation and enables business growth. Colin joined Ericsson in 2000 as the Commercial Manager in Sydney, providing commercial and presales support for major managed services and IT&T infrastructure deals. He returned to Melbourne, in 2003, joining the HR team to establish and manage the newly formed HR Shared Services unit and implement initiatives in Ericsson’s remuneration practices, superannuation management and led a global performance management project.
Following an overseas M&A assignment in the UK in 2006/7, Colin held roles in Region South-East Asia and Oceania as Head of Learning and Competence Development and HR Business Partner, Operations and Engagement Practices before moving to his current role.
Prior to Ericsson, Colin has held a roles in commercial and finance management in the oil and gas and resources sector throughout Australia.
Colin is a CPA and holds a bachelor degree in Accounting and Economics from the University of Technology, Sydney and post graduate qualifications from the Australian Graduate School of Management. His broad functional experience includes HR, strategic planning, commercial pre-sales support and finance in both operational and corporate environments.
Outside of work Colin enjoys outdoor activities with the family, staying healthy and try’s hard but none-the-less is a very “average” player of guitar.
