Suresh Cuganesan

Suresh Cuganesan is CEO of the John Grill Centre for Project Leadership and a Professor at the University of Sydney Business School. Suresh’s research focuses on the areas of strategy execution, leading change and governance. His area of focus is on how public and private-sector enterprises can improve their achievement of policy and strategic goals through being better aligned, collaborative and innovative in their programs and projects.

Prior to his academic career, Suresh worked in institutional banking and management consulting in charge of research, strategy analysis, business development and project delivery. Suresh has also held leadership positions in the higher education industry, including as Associate Dean of Research and Foundation Research Centre Director, and is passionate about applied research and executive education that delivers a real impact for organisations. He has advised and consulted for organisations in financial services, energy, law enforcement, transport, government and recruitment services. Suresh has published numerous academic research articles in leading international and national journals and has been successful in generating over $2.5 million in external funding (including Australian Research Council Grants) for his research.
