Raj is a high level corporate executive with extensive experience and a wealth of knowledge in complex project, program management and in general management, with 18+ years of experience at strategic positions in world class organisations, managing complex operations and enterprise level infrastructure project programs. He is a major project program management specialist, a mentor, a process improvement and management consultant. His industries of expertise include industrial engineering, construction and government.
Raj started his career in 1998. Since then he has worked for multinationals such as Shell Group, Orange Electric Corporation and currently in Australian local government sector. He has held positions from Engineer to General Manager in his career. Raj’s tertiary qualifications include a Master of Business Management, Master of Science (Eng.), and he is also a British chartered engineer. Raj has practitioner certifications for Prince 2, PMP and CPPM.
Raj is passionate about improving business process in general; and specifically on delivering best value for money through effective project and program management practices. Being in line with this passion he has pursued to read for a PhD research endeavour at RMIT University in Melbourne, to understand the factors that influence adoption, deployment and maturing of project program management methodologies for capital works in the local government. To understand what we could do better, to be more effective in this area.
Raj is currently employed with Brimbank City Council one of the largest metropolitan councils in Victoria, and he executes major capital works projects. Raj also holds volunteer portfolios of being the Vice Chairman of the world renowned Institute of Engineering and Technology’s Victorian network and as the Convener of Local Government Special Interest Group in Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) Victorian chapter.
