Dr Taryn Bond-Barnard


Taryn is a senior lecturer in the Graduate School of Technology Management at the University of Pretoria in South Africa and has been involved in the project management industry since 2008. Before joining academia she managed a variety of software development and business process improvement projects both in the public and private sector. Her qualifications include an engineering degree, a master’s and a PhD degree in project management. Taryn is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 practitioner and a professional engineer. She has published widely in both national and international journals. Her current area of research is computer-mediated communication in projects, agile project management and project procurement management.
