Bob specializes in strategic program and portfolio management and has established Project Management Offices on three continents. Bob has worked with inexperienced to advanced project and program personnel from more than 15 countries, with a wide variety of industry backgrounds. Bob has more than 34 years of I/T, project management and business analysis experience, 18 of those years with the IBM Corporation. His management experience includes technology outsourcing, I/T delivery service measurement and quality, business analysis and advanced project management. Bob has worked on global projects while playing a major role in the development of international trade applications in use in the United States and Europe, once serving as the IT Delivery Manager for IBM, supporting American Express.
Bob has managed globally dispersed project teams as large as 460 individuals, and is a strong believer in the power and leadership of the individual and the teams they work in. Bob is a certified Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute, is a certified Executive Project Manager with IBM, and is a Certified Project Management Coach for the Boeing Corporation. He holds university degrees in Operations Research and Mathematics. Bob holds a practitioners’ certificate in the PRINCE2 project management methodology, and an ITIL foundation certificate. Bob has had white papers and articles published internationally and was a contributing author to the books ‘Advising Upward’ and ‘The Keys to Our Success: Lessons Learned from 25 of our Best Project Managers’. He is currently writing a book entitled “Intelligent Disobedience: The Difference Between Good and Great Leaders, to be published by Routledge, Oxford, UK.
