INNOVATION IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Award Criteria
This Award is intended to recognize endeavours which utilise leading-edge thought-leadership in delivering projects, regarding use of technology and/or process innovation to increase the probability of success of project outcomes.

Examples might include requirements gathering, prototyping, stakeholder collaboration development / construction techniques, and feedback elicitation.

While pure product-based submissions from vendors / resellers will not be accepted, case studies of the utilisation of innovation, even if focused upon a single technology, can be considered. However, the specific and practical implications of applying the technology will need to be objectively demonstrated.

Award Eligibility

1. Can demonstrate that the innovation has been applied in a project environment, and has enduring and practical value
2. The innovation work can be from any field, such as business, government, non-profit, academia, consulting, training etc.
3. The innovation must in some demonstrable way contribute to the advancement of the field of project management
4. The nominee and/or team must be based in Australia.
5. Application of the innovation must have been occurred in whole or in part between the period 01/03/2018 and 28/02/2019.
6. Membership of the PMI for the nominee and/or other team members is encouraged but not mandatory.

Number of Awards
• One recipient and two finalists will be awarded annually.
• PMI reserves the right not to select any recipients for a particular year if the evaluations performed indicate that nominations do not meet the stated criteria.

The judging panel may contact the Nominator or Nominee for additional information or with questions, if required to support the application.
