The winner for each category will be announced at the PMI Australia Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner.

Project of the Year

This Award recognises a small or large project that best delivers the following:

  • Excelled in delivering the desired outcomes and benefits
  • The project execution met or exceeded the time, cost, and quality goals
  • The delivery was achieved in the face of a complex or challenging environment, and/or issues or barriers which required superior performance to surmount

PMO of the Year

This Award honours a PMO that has:

  • Increased the performance of programmes and projects within the organisation
  • Demonstrated a good understanding and application of PMO practices
  • Can show how the programmes and projects have contributed to the organisation’s success
  • Have engaged effectively with the organisation’s senior management

Research Achievement

Recognises an individual, team, or organisation that has completed research that contributes to the field of project management:

  • Scholarly or scientific investigation based on data from which general conclusions can be drawn
  • The research focusses on the project management context or management activities needed to complete projects successfully
  • Can demonstrate that the research has been applied and/or has enduring or practical value

Project Professional of the Year

The individuals who have made significant achievement or sustained performance in contribution to the completion of one or more projects during the last year:

  • They have been instrumental in ensuring the desired outcomes of the project were realized
  • The achievements demonstrated skillful use and application project management standards and practices
  • The achievement demonstrated initiative and leadership

Recognises an individual who has:

  • Made an outstanding contribution to the practice of the project management profession
  • Demonstrated significant thought leadership and initiative in advancing project management concepts, techniques, practices, or theories through the effective application of project management principles.
