The PMI Australia Conference will be held on the 28 – 30 May at the Sheraton on the Park, Sydney, featuring internationally renowned speakers including: Mark Dickson (Global Chair of 2017 PMI Board of Directors), Naomi Simson (Founding Director of RedBalloon), Stephen Jenner (Author & Practitioner), Colin Ellis (Author of The Conscious Project Leader), Ewen Stafford (Deputy CFO, Telstra), and Dominic Price (Head of R&D, Atlassian), plus a host of diverse breakout speakers sharing knowledge and challenging mindsets.
This year the PMI Australian Chapters have definitely “lifted their game” through the addition of the new Academic stream to the Conference program. By sharing this knowledge with the project management and wider business community, the PMI particularly in Australia, intends in increasing awareness of the need for research to benchmark best practices to achieve superior success and outcomes.
The PMI national conference celebrates the contributions of all project management professionals, especially those nominated for the PMI Australia Awards with winning recipients announced at a Gala Dinner on Monday 29 May. Guests will be encouraged to add a splash of colour to their attire keeping with the theme “Colours of Sydney” celebrating the Vivid Sydney festival also occurring during the conference period. The night will feature internationally renowned DJs Matt Nukewood and Beth Yen, guaranteed to excite the room.
As a precursor to the PMI Australia Conference, practitioners can take advantage of masterclasses being held on Sunday 28 May, Sydney. The masterclasses will offer professionals in depth teaching and discussion on various topics presented by both national and international presenters including Stephen Jenner, Jim Emerick, Sandra Arps, Haydn Thomas, Amireh Amirmazaheri, and Angela Chellas.
